Evaluation Process
As an approved NYS Education Department evaluation site for preschool children, we work with the local school districts to help parents through the evaluation process.
If you suspect your child may have a developmental delay or disability, contact your local school district's Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) for referral. We can also assist you in making a referral to the district.
Upon referral, you may select an approved evaluation site to conduct the assessments. We are also approved to conduct evaluations. Your child must receive an evaluation in order for the CPSE to determine your child's eligibility for programs and or services. All evaluations are provided at no cost to families.
Contact the education liaison at (718) 849-3002 ext. 4016 with any questions or for assistance with the evaluation process.
